She was born in Athens on March 13, 1954. Graduated from the Art Theater acting school of Korolos Koun. During the time she was with the Art Theater she participated in numerous plays including tragedies and she also held a role at the “Servant of two Masters” by Goldoni directed by G.Lazanis. She has cooperated with Ellie Lambeti at “Filumena Marturano” directed by M Bolonini and with Jenny Karezi and Kostas Kazakos at the successful staging of : “Who is afraid of Virginia Wolf” directed by Gyles Dassen, with whom she cooperated again the following year at a National Theater staging of the “Heartbreak House” by George Bernard Shaw. In 1986 she went to France where she attended acting courses at the school of A.Vitez. Olia Lazaridou, who is today one of Greece’s most renowned actors, has held roles in a large number of theatrical plays, films for TV and the cinema.
